Online blackjack can be fun game only if you know the basics of the game and have some knowledge on different offers that online casinos offered throughout the internet.

The aim of blackjack is to make the total of your cards nearest to 21 than the dealer’s card, obviously without exceeding 21. In case of blackjack, aces count as 1 or 11, 10 for face cards, and number cards as their face value.
If your first two cards are ace and ten-value cards, you have blackjack and win one and a half times of your bet, i.e., if your bet was $10, then you will receive $25. And your total value of cards is closer to 21 than the dealer; you will win as much as you bet. But if you total card value exceeds 21 then you lose your bet.
If both, you and the dealer have same total card value (17 and more) neither of you win and your bet will be returned to you in “push”.
Most of the online blackjack games follow the same standards from Las Vegas, but sometimes it may vary depending on the online casino software and on some special cases.
Just to give you all an example, I consider Playtech Software has the following differences:
1. When each round gets over, the used cards are returned to the deck and the deck I is shuffled.
2. The player may or may not split a split hand.
3. The player can double after splitting.
4. The dealer will never check the blackjack in any case.
5. If the player doubles and the total card value of dealer is 11 (ACE), and the dealer gets the blackjack, then the player looses both his bets.
Split:
If by chance your first two cards have same value, then you can split then into two separate hands by placing the second bet equivalent to the first one. Then you start drawing cards. You can draw as many cards as you wish on each split, but in case if you split two aces, then you will receive only on additional card for each ace. As told before if you receive two aces and a ten value card, it will be counted as 21 and not Blackjack.
Double:
After two cards have been dealt to you, and you think that with another cards you can beat the dealer’s hand, you can hike your bet amount to its double. Now your wager is double, so you can receive one more card.
Insurance:
Insurance is considered as a game itself within Blackjack. Here you can get a chance to buy insurance only if the dealer has his up card as Ace. On buying insurance you are betting that dealer has a blackjack. Now this of great use to protect you when you think that dealer may have blackjack. On buying insurance you place half of your initial bet by pressing the insurance button. If the dealers have the blackjack you get 2 to 1 your insurance bet but is the dealer doesn’t you lose.
Playing online blackjack is of quite interesting and full of suspense too. But practicing makes you expert.
